SHOUT

LITTLE WARM AND FUZZINESS

Project Story

-Shout is personal experience inspired project which I brought to several accelerate programs
-The problem that I want to solve is lack of service to show small gratitude or love to friends or colleagues near me or around the world.

Shout was born out of my personal experience and a recognized gap in the market for small, meaningful gifts. I often found that traditional large gifts could be overwhelming when I wanted to express my appreciation. Instead, I sought a way to send something small yet thoughtful and warm. This led me to create Shout, a service that allows you to send a simple cup of coffee to someone you care about, offering a gesture of gratitude that feels both personal and heartfelt.

Empathising

Empathising the users & employees

What are the pain points? What do they need? WHY?

“Would this really work?”

  • Interview with Café owners: I engaged in detailed discussions with café owners to understand their perspectives on the market for small gifting services and to gauge their interest in collaborating. These conversations provided valuable insights into the operational aspects and potential opportunities for integrating our service with their existing offerings.
  • Survey Insight : I distributed a survey, receiving 77 responses predominantly from individuals aged 24 to 37. This survey helped identify key preferences and expectations regarding small gift services, revealing crucial information about the target audience's needs and desires.
  • Consultations with Startup Owners: I also connected with startup founders who are operating in similar domains. These discussions offered practical advice and highlighted industry trends, helping to refine Shout's approach and align it with current market demands.

Start from the basics

  • -Persona creation: I crafted detailed user personas to represent the diverse segments of our target audience.
  • Market research: I conducted comprehensive market research to understand the competitive landscape and identify potential opportunities and challenges.
  • Business model workshop: I participated in a business model workshop to refine Shout’s value proposition and operational strategy.

  • Vendor’s flow: I designed the vendor’s workflow to streamline their interaction with Shout. This involved mapping out each step a vendor would take from receiving orders to fulfilling them, ensuring that the process is efficient and user-friendly.
  • User journey: I developed a detailed user journey to map out the entire experience from the perspective of our customers. This journey covered all touchpoints, from the initial engagement with Shout to the final delivery of the gift.

Design the experience

Does this work for everyone?

Make it real

  • Paper sketch: I began with paper sketches to brainstorm and visualize initial concepts. This low-fidelity approach allowed for rapid ideation and exploration of various design ideas
  • Mid-fi design: I progressed to mid-fidelity designs, which involved creating more detailed and structured wireframes.
  • Hi-fi design: Finally, I developed high-fidelity designs that polished the visual elements and interactions to closely resemble the final product.
