The Telstra Health Clinical Manager system faced several critical issues within its wound charting functionality. Users struggled with identifying observations by type and aligning the system with key industry standards. Challenges also arose in accurately charting wound location, type of wound , measurements, and repetitive tasks emerged due to a lack of communication between system components.
Redesigned key aspects of the wound chart, including charting options, wound location, and standardized naming conventions, as well as adding a feature to compare wound photos, change the location and type of wound. The wound chart uses a phased approach, with future enhancements related system work flow such as pain assessment, task alerts, and expanded reporting options to be implemented in the next phase.
“Shin did fantastic work in gathering the feedback from discovery and taking Clients through validation. All the clients we went to really liked the changes, but I did want to specifically point out that Hayley from our largest client Uniting was very impressed based on her background as a Wound specialist and cannot wait to see this in our system” - Sarah Winwood, BA
